Comi Comi…

… is a series of notes on art and takes it’s name from the magazine Playmap (1969-1972). Each note is about agitation and the frenzy of being up against it. Notes are also about Japan (but not exclusively). They feature galleries and artists – their stories and schemes, plotting plans, averting disaster, predicting tragedy and prompting comedy. To paraphrase the magazine, notes are their word on-the-street, my words (and images) around town – “Machi Comi, Michi Comi.”

Every new edition of the newsletter is free and will appear directly to your inbox. If you feel the urge to open a Paid Subscription, in Monthly or Yearly form, this will help pave the way for other material; audio recordings, even invited pieces from other people. If you already have a free subscription and choose to stay as you are, that’s fine too. It simply means you’ll see a ‘Subscribe’ button hovering up top. I plan to publish throughout the year and hope you will continue to tag along. Thanks for reading.
